The Charity Warriors Challenge is an annual 10-week fundraising accelerator for women who are passionate ambassadors of local nonprofits.

A fun, innovative competition and boot camp, the Charity Warriors Challenge mobilizes fundraisers to educate the public on important social issues and raise money for worthy causes.  Participants learn from each other and a powerful network of expert advisors while competing for a grand prize.

Since 2015, Charity Warriors Challenge and Power Launch have partnered to provide mentoring and learning opportunities to its competitors. The organizations have since joined forces in an exciting merger that will further expand the impact and reach of the competition.

Local philanthropists Christy Cashman and Mary Chiochios cofounded the Charity Warriors Challenge as an alternative to mainstream fundraising methods. Charity Warriors makes fundraising fun with its competition, innovative online design and awards event

The Charity Warriors Challenge has provided a fundraising platform for more than a dozen Boston nonprofits to collectively raise over $800,000.

The 2017 Charity Warriors Challenge culminated in an exciting Final Challenge Event & Awards reception on March 29, 2017.  The event provided each contestant one last chance to raise the most funds for their nonprofit to win the $10,000 Grand Prize. Collectively, the five finalists raised nearly $300,000 for their causes.

Power Launch is deeply invested in supporting Boston's social impact leaders. We believe that capable executives and boards are key enablers of transformative social change. Our aim is to cultivate the next generation of talent, sustain peak performance and create retention opportunities for exceptional leaders.

The Charity Warriors Challenge provides opportunities for chief executives, board members and rising leaders to enhance their knowledge and know-how to more effectively serve their organizations. The accelerator helps leaders develop greater knowledge, efficiency, focus and excellence.

Each week of the challenge focuses on a different area of fund development; including social media, public speaking, branding, media engagement, and donor solicitation. Participants also meet with mentors and compete in weekly challenges to hone their skills, test new ideas, and raise funds and awareness for their causes. In addition, we have curated a selection of high-quality trainings in these topic areas. Charity Warrior nonprofits have access to these additional workshops for free or at a reduced cost.
