Power Launch accelerates social change by investing in compelling ideas, exceptional leaders, and high-potential organizations.
Nonprofit organizations face chronic underinvestment in supporting infrastructure and leadership development. As a result, organizational capacity-building, innovation and collaboration often fail to compete with the pragmatic demands of program operations and fundraising.
Our accelerators and competitions are built upon proven models of success. We've adopted the best of business incubators, ideation competitions, startup accelerators, leadership development programs, and design-thinking expertise to create an investment model for identifying, supporting and scaling effective social impact ventures.
Power Launch's programs offer unique opportunities for entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and community leaders to learn from each other, collaborate and access critical new resources.
Social entrepreneurs from the inaugural accelerator shared their visionary ideas for social change at Pitch In. The social impact competition awarded over $150,000 to help scale and sustain these high-impact nonprofits.
Applications for the 2018 fellowship and accelerator will open in early 2018.
Power Launch provides opportunities for chief executives and board members to enhance their knowledge and know-how to serve their organizations more effectively.
Our leadership accelerator combines practical skills with leadership development opportunities. We aim to cultivate the next generation of exceptional talent as well as support current leaders in the field.
Fifteen nonprofits participated in the 2017 Charity Warriors Challenge, a 10-week fundraising competition and boot camp. Five organizations raised $300,000 in the final challenge, including a $10,000 grand prize for the winner.
Applications for the 2018 Charity Warriors Challenge will open on December 1, 2017. Stay tuned.
Power Launch's efforts to spark innovation are fueled by an Executives in Residence (XIR) program, comprised of experienced nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. Executives in Residence mentor entrepreneurs in our accelerators, advise our philanthropic investors and lead community innovation challenges.
The XIR program convenes talented executives to bring new energy and resources to seemingly intractable problems. Together, we host showcase events and crowdsource new ideas in competitions, idea hackathons, and through our extensive network.
