The Nonprofit Executive Women’s Forum is a monthly convening of nonprofit executive women in Greater Boston, for networking and peer mentorship.

The Nonprofit Executive Women’s forum is a community organized and peer-led group. Power Launch provides a hosting function for group information.

In 2012, Power Launch’s Saskia Epstein and Carolyn Casey, founder of Project 351, cofounded this monthly forum for women Executive Directors and Chief Executives of nonprofits. The group was formed to provide a forum for conversation, collaboration, and friendship.

Like many other industries, the disproportionate representation of women in the nonprofit sector is not reflected in its leadership. Men still lead the majority of the largest nonprofits, earn more, are better networked, and more likely to be recruited for board service.

We have a deep appreciation of, and abiding respect for the women who power our nation’s social change movements, and the nonprofit sector. Through our forum, we seek to further connect, mobilize, support, and spotlight Boston’s amazing women leaders. With nearly 80 members, our community is comprised of women who serve as both seasoned and new executive directors and CEOs of Boston-area nonprofits.

For this community, we seek to create a space for confidential dialogue about issues, challenges, and opportunities unique to our field and our role as female leaders of mission-driven organizations. We are not a political or advocacy group, rather a team of like-minded peers, invested in each other’s success.

We hope you will consider joining us for enrichment, inspiration, and friendship. Please also let us know of other women executives whom we should invite as well. We greatly value the input and ideas of each member as mentor, colleague, and fellow architect of our dialogues.

We use an online forum to organize and communicate about monthly in-person gatherings. To receive invitations to monthly events, please request membership access. Stay tuned for our 2019 calendar.
