Shari Davis is a graduate of the Summer of Opportunity program, a Positive Image Award Recipient, a teacher and competitor in karate and taekwondo, and a former member of the selection committee for the Mayor's Children's Health Awards. 

Shari was the Citywide Neighborhood Safety Coordinator on the Mayor's Youth Council while she was attending Boston Latin School and working at the Mayor's Youthline. 

Shari is a graduate of Boston University’s Sargent College for Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. During her time on the Youth Council, Shari served as an MC for the Youth Summit, was the youth speaker at Faneuil Hall for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and discussed the image of youth in media on Fox 25 News.

Today, Shari is currently the Director of BCYF's Division of Youth Engagement and Employment. She oversees the Mayor's Youth Council, the SuccesssLink Youth Employment Program and the Mayor's Youth Outreach Team. Shari and her team helped to launch the nation's first ever youth focused participatory budgeting initiative called Youth Lead the Change and traveled to China last year to accept an award for Urban Innovation on behalf of the City of Boston. Shari is a dedicated community advocate and serves on various community advisory groups with the goal of empowering young people and connecting youth and families to opportunities.
