Welcome to the 2018 Charity Warriors Challenge. We are humbled by the incredible interest in the challenge and excited to share that this year's applicant pool was the largest and most competitive yet. All of the women, and the causes they are fighting for, are truly inspiring. From tackling food waste to counseling teens with life-threatening diseases, the work that the 2018 Charity Warriors are doing is critically important to ensuring a safe, just, and prosperous future for all.
We hope you are excited to kick your fundraising into high gear! Get ready for inspiring mentors, lively skill-building challenges, and fundraising opportunities to bring more public awareness and funds to your cause.
This year, ten fundraising challenges will take place over seven weeks. We hope you will learn a great deal during the challenges, and have a ton of fun in the process. Our fundraising accelerator abandons classroom-based learning in favor of opportunities to form new relationships with mentors and peers and test new ideas - with immediate and tangible feedback. Simply put, we believe in learning by doing.
There are a total of 10 challenges (online and in-person) to complete before April 12. Each challenge is reviewed and judged by tough, wonderfully kind, experts.
After eight challenges (on March 28), 5 finalists will be selected to participate in the remaining two challenges, including the final fundraising event at which a $10,000 grand prize will be awarded.
Challenge instructions will be posted each week on the Power Launch website.
A direct link to the challenge instructions will be shared via the 2018 Charity Warriors Challenge Facebook group. Once you have confirmed participation, you will be invited to join this closed Facebook group. Like https://www.facebook.com/powerlaunch.org/ to help make it easier for us to find you on Facebook and send an invitation.
Read the challenge instructions thoroughly. All details to complete the challenge will be included. Each challenge will specify a due date, guidelines, and judging criteria. For in-person challenges, the date, time and location will be shared, along with all other pertinent information.
Challenge 1 & 2 (online challenges) will be emailed and posted to the group page on Tuesday, Feb 20th.
Submissions received after the expected due date will not be accepted.

Online availability of our mentors (via Zoom, a video conference platform) will be posted on the challenge pages and in the Facebook group.
CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION
Before we begin, please share your availability for proposed or possible challenge dates . We kick-off with a welcome gathering, followed by five in-person challenges, leading up to the final event in mid-April. Life is busy, but are hoping that you will be able to prioritize participation in these challenges. If you already know (or believe it is likely) that are not able to attend a scheduled or possibe date, please check "not available".
